This original design came from a series of miniature ceramic boxes created for Clockshop, featuring plant and animal kin of Payme Paxaayt, the LA River, celebrating the place-based relationships that anchor Clockshop's work.
This box features a Pacific Tree Frog, whose numbers have been rebounding along the soft-bottom section of the LA river. The clay body was sourced in Southern California, with blue-green glazed interiors . Signed with the artist’s stamp.
2 1/8” x 2 7/8” x 3.5” with Frog Lid. Just box 1 7/8” x 2 5/8” x 1.5”
